The Fall of Icarus...

I adore Draper's work and the sense of atmosphere that he creates within his pictures. I saw the fall of Icarus a few years ago at the Tate (its so much better in the original) and was bowled over by its sheers size, detail and use of colour.

Shoes: KG

After what can only be described as a sweaty trip round Covent Garden attempting to avoid the swathes of badly dressed, map clutching, slow walking tourists I eventually found a dress. Having romantically chosen the 1920's as the theme for my 21st, I soon realised that to pull of signature dresses I would have to be built like a bean pole. This is unfortunately not the case, but I did eventually find this one in French Connection - which does looks a little more exciting and flapper-esque on! Now I just have to find the shoes (I will most certainly be making a trip to KG)... and maybe a fur wrap... how exciting!

Water for Elephants...

Saw the theatrical trailer for this when I went to the cinema yesterday - incredibly excited for this film's release in May. On another note, if you are planning to go and see Red Riding Hood. just don't. Directed by Catherine Hardwick, the name behind the twilight film saga, it recycles the same lust ridden tensions, the same brooding looks and seems unable to let go of the compulsion to shoot panoramic shots of conifer forests. It just doesn't work.  My friend Tilly and I were rather surprised that at some point during filming no one realised just quite how bad this film was going to be. Much as I love Amanda Seyfried this was the wrong side of clichéd line. Lets hope Water for Elephants is a tad better!

p.s. a little bit has been cut off the side - but on the smaller image it was just, well, too small!

Provisional invite for my 21st - I've tried to make it look like a book cover but I may need to jazz it up a bit!

The wonderful Felicity Brown...

I just LOVE Felicity Brown's A/W '10 and S/S '11 collection.
Having graduated from the Royal College of Art she went on to work for Alberta Feretti, Lanvin and Mulberry and she has now started her own label. Available at Liberty.
