I'm completely in love with Erik Hassle's new album Pieces, his compelling melodies and beautiful lyrics are the perfect way to banish any remaining winter blues...

"If a bird can sing with a broken wing
You'll learn to bend when the wind blows

The leaves may fall, but the trees stay tall
This is a bump in the road
Don't give up, you will make it.."

Erik Hassle - Bump in the Road
Clown in the Moon

My tears are like the quiet drift
Of petals from some magic rose;
And all my grief flows from the rift
Of unremembered skies and snows.

I think, that if I touched the earth,
It would crumble;
It is so sad and beautiful,
So tremulously like a dream.

Durham: I have come to love this little city, with its cobbled streets, its cathedral which can be awed at from virtually anywhere within the city, its meandering river and its astoundingly awful nightclubs. It is here that I start for it is here that I have been exiled from for the Easter holidays.. a prospect of 5 weeks at home and the dreaded mention of a job. Wonderful.
