Finally after barrages of e-mails and letters, I've got work experience lined up at Transworld publishers (part of Random House) which I am very very excited about... They publish some of my favourite books by Joanne Harris and Sophie Kinsella (I grew up reading the Shopaholic series and the Undomestic Goddess is a favourite for when I'm not drowning in uni reading lists). My mother is also thrilled at prospect of Joanna Trollope! Having been through their collection of books I have found a few which sound brilliant and others which I have been meaning to read for ages! Here are a few of them - and also a few of my favourite covers - anyone who uses Rob Ryan for a cover has my vote any day!

Each year the V&A run the Book Cover Illustration Award and here are a selection of my favourites from this years entries. I especially love the Agnes Decourchelle designs - the use of loose watercolour sketches over the top of a very formal contrasts beautifully. Have a look at all the entries and the site here.
